Who is DCPP?

The Division of Child Protection and Permanency is an administrative agency charged with the protection of children. Formerly known as the Division of Youth and Family Services, or DYFS, DCPP is granted broad power to ensure that children are protected. DCPP is a division of the Department of Children and Families.

What Power does DCPP have?

DCPP has broad statutory powers. The law gives them the authority to remove children from a home without a court order, the power to investigate allegations of child abuse and neglect, and the power to license foster a resource homes.
